TOMCAT
** Two "database filter" buttons added: ALL | FIN. You can
replace FIN by giving SWE or NOR as the "itu" in SETTINGS
> BEGINNING > REC_QTH > qth, lat, lon, itu
** We don't know yet where we end up with this: probably keeping both
OLL and MWLIST loggings here. But ... will all the countries be included
(now only FIN / SWE / NOR) ?
What "database filter" buttons do we need more ? Can we refresh
this daily in the future ? When will Swedish DXers start using the online
logging services
as the main logging function (the file based loggings can't be supported
on a daily/weekly/monthly basis)?
KOJE
The new up-to-date KOJE version is now available in Jaguar.
The database is automatically downloaded to RAM whenever KOJE is opened
for the first time in the Jaguar session.
DATABASE BAR > Move mouse cursor to the center > MORE > KOJE
More on DATABASES
DATABASE BAR > MORE contains now USA TIS / CATBOOK / KOJE / TOMCAT
* Data from all these databases is shown on the top window when open
and the contents is changed when the frequency is changed
* Databases can be rotated by pressing ALT-T (="ALT-TURTLE")
* JKP has done his magics again and now TOMCAT contains FIN/SWE/NOR
data from both OLL and MWLIST
This feature is under construction:
- Database filters for TOMCAT have not been defined yet, some log data
may be missing
- We don't know yet how often this will be refreshed. But if it can
be done daily it might replace TURTLE or KOJE as the main database for
Finnish/Swedish/Norwegian DXers (and then probably also DXers in other
countries will want to have their loggings included in TOMCAT ?)
- However, the file based log data can't be supported in the compilation
of the new TOMCAT versions when trying to build the daily (or weekly/monthly)
TOMCAT version, so we highly recommend the use of OLL or MWLIST, instead
of logging only to the log file
TIMEBAR
This is a miniature version of the TIMEBOX (=PLAYBOX), displayed as
an alternative to the STATUSBAR (and it can be kept always visible if
needed).
**- TIMEBAR shows a "YAS color" for each recorded minute with a "click
and jump" function to any recorded minute.
**- Quite likely STATUSBAR is more useful in the LIVE MODE, but in the
ARCHIVE mode TIMEBAR may be more useful (?)
**- You can activate TIMEBAR by right-clicking the top right corner
button (showing "TIMEBOX" by default), after that the corner button
controls TIMEBAR on/off instead of TIMEBOX on/of.
**- The current status (STATUSBAR vs. TIMEBAR) is remembered after J
restart - So far this is just a suggestion (may or may not be present
in the final V11 version). If users find this useful, I can add the
playback position pointer and the pointer for max signal strength on
the currently played frequency (just as in the "big TIMEBOX"jag)
** Pointers added: mouse cursor pointer = red ball, playback position
pointer = white ball, max signal power time pointer = white circle
** Scrolling not supported on this bar (scrolling also removed from
FREQBAR) - pse use the playbar's scroll features for scrolling minutes
/ frequencies.
AUDIO SLIDER
* The bottom slider now opens/closes a small combo pack of audio tools:
notch, EQ, filter - "Files" are no more available below that slider
(see "FILES" below)
* This audio slider can be kept always on if you prefer it (the status
is remembered at the J restart)
* The window size is not adjustable
NOTCH works as the notch in AUDIOBOX, except right click acts as "NOTCH
RESET" (no separate "notch reset" button here):
--- click for adding a notch, ciick it again to delete it
--- move the mouse cursor over the notch (the Hz pole turns red) and
scroll to adjust the notch width (power)
EQ works exactly as in the AUDIOBOX
FILTER edges can be used by scrolling (move the mouse cursor .over the
edge and the edge turns red) - this differs from the AUDIOBOX:
-- clicking
the left / right area of the RF spectrum changes LSB/USB
-- right click restores your DEFAULT filter settings
-- note that STOCK can't be changed, also AM filter can't be tuned via
this window (pse use the buttons instead).
FILES
* TOOLBAR > FILES opens now the selected file in your default txt /
csv app (defined in Windows)
* Note: PAL (pdf) is moved here from the DATABASE BAR menu - FILES contain
only data which is not changed when you scroll frequencies.
